Abstract
Abstract HIGH YIELDS OF 1,3-CYCLOHEXYLENE DIISOCYANATES ARE PREPARED BY CONTACTING 1,3-CYCLOHEXANEDIAMINES WITH PHOSGENE IN THE PRESENCE OF HYDROGEN CHLORIDE. THE DIISOCYANATES WHEN REACTED WITH POLYESTER OR POLYETHER POLYOLS PROVIDE URETHANE COMPOSITIONS THAT ARE ESPECIALLY SUITABLE FOR USE AS COATINGS, SEALANTS, AND ELASTOMERS.
