Abstract AN IMPROVED PROCESS FOR GRAFTING ORGANOPOLYSILOXANES WHICH COMPRISES THE GRADUAL ADDITION OF UNSATURATED ORGANIC MONOMERS TO ORGANOPOLYSILOXANES IN THE PRESENCE OF FREE-RADICAL INITIATORS. BY THIS TECHNIQUE, HOMOGENEOUS UNIFORMLY GRAFTED PRODUCTS ARE OBTAINED. FURTHERMORE, IT HAS BEEN FOUND POSSIBLE TO GRAFT POLAR MONOMERS WHICH HAVE BEEN DIFFICULT OR IMPOSSIBLE TO GRAFT ONTO ORGANOPOLYSILOXANES HERETOFORE.
