Abstract
Abstract MIXTURES OF SULFATE SALTS SELECTED FROM THE GROUP CONSISTING OF AL2(SO4)3-CUSO4; CUSO4-FE2(SO4)3; AND FE2(SO4)3-AL2(SO4)3 ARE DECOMPOSED TO THE CORRESPONDING OXIDES AND MADE INTO PARTICULATE FORM FOR USE AS AN ABSORBENT IN SULFUR OXIDE ABSORPTION FROM GASES. THE ABSORBENTS CAN BE USED UNSUPPORTED OR ON A SUITABLE SUPPORT MATERIAL. IN EITHER CASE, THE ABSORBENTS ARE CAPABLE OF REGENERATION.
