Abstract

Abstract This control circuit applies an electrical potential to either side of an electric motor upon actuation of one of several separately located switch assemblies. One switch assembly comprises two single-pole, double-throw switches having the poles connected to opposite sides of the motor. Each pole is individually movable to first and second terminals, and one side of a battery is connected to each first terminal. A second switch assembly is located in the circuitry connecting the other side of the battery to the second terminals and includes a switch mechanism for reversing the battery polarity at either of the second terminals individually.

Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 4
Claim 1
Independent Claim 169 words
A control circuit for applying an electrical potential from a single source of electric potential to either side of each of a plurality of electric devices with an individual switch mechanism for each electrical device or a master switch mechanism comprising an individual switch mechanism for each electrical device, each individual switch mechanism including two switches having first and second terminals and a pole movable to either terminal, each pole being connected to opposite sides of its respective electric device, wire means connecting one side of said source of electric potential to the first terminal of each switch, and a master switch mechanism, said master switch mechanism comprising circuit means normally connecting the other side of said source to the second terminal of each switch, said circuit means including a primary switch means for each electrical device for reversing the polarity at one of said second terminals of the respective individual switch mechanism individually and secondary switch means for reversing the polarity at all of said second terminals concomitantly.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 169 words
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 18 words
The circuit of claim 1 in which each pole normally contacts the second terminal of its respective switch.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 24 words
The circuit of claim 2 in which the secondary switch means comprises means for disconnecting said second terminals from the source of electrical potential.
