Abstract THE PRESENT INVENTION IS DIRECTED TO NEW AND NOVEL CYANOFLUOROPYRIDINE COMPOUNDS AND TO METHODS EMPLOYING AND COMPOSITIONS CONTAINING THOSE COMPOUNDS AS PESTICIDAL CONSTITUENTS. REPRESENTATIVE NEW COMPOUND ARE 3,5-DICHLORO-4,6-DIFLUOROPICOLINONITRILE AND TETRAFLUOROPICOLINONITIRLE, THESE AND OTHER COMPUNDS OF THE INVENTION BEING PARTICULARLY WELL ADAPTED TO BE USED AS SOIL FUMIGANTS FOR THE CONTROL OF SOIL-INFECTING FUNGI.
