Abstract GLUCURONIDES OF 3-INDOLYLAIPHATIC ACID DERIVATIVES REPRESENTED BY THE FORMULA, 1-(R4-CO-);2-R2,3-((3-(R5-O-),4-(R6-O-),5-(R7-O-),6- (R8-OOC-)TETRAHYDROPYRAN-2-YL)-OOC-(CH2)N-CH(-R3)-),R1- INDOLE WHEREIN R1 IS HYDROGEN, LOWER ALKY, LOWER ALKOXY, LOWER ALKYLTHIO OR HALOGEN, R2 AND R3 ARE INDIVIDUALLY HYDROGEN, PHENYL OR LOWER ALKYL, R4 IS PYRIDYL OR STYRYL, R5, R6 AND R7 ARE INDIVIDUALLY HYDROGEN OR ACETYL, R8 IS HYDROGEN OR LOWER ALKYL, AND N IS 0, 1 OR 2. THE NOVEL GLUCURONIDES OF 3-INDOLYLALIPHATIC ACID DERIVATIVES HAVE PROMINENT ANTI-INFLAMMATORY ACTION.
