Abstract
Abstract Basic dyestuffs that are free from acidic groups imparting solubility in water which contain at least one etherified hydroxylamino residue which is linked through the nitrogen atom to a carbon atom of the dyestuff molecule, the corresponding quaternated dyestuffs and double salts thereof which dyestuffs one useful for dyeing syntheric fibers in strong level shades with good light fastness and good general fastness properties with good reserve to natural polyamide fibers.

A basic dyestuff according to claim 1 in which Xs is hydrogen, nitro, methylsulfonyl or sulfonamide Ys is hydrogen, chlorine or cyano, Zs is hydrogen or chlorine, W is hydrogen, V is hydrogen, Y is C1-C4 alkyl, R1 is C1-C2 alkyl, R2 is C1-C2alkyl, R3 is C1-C3alkyl or the phenyl derivative thereof, R4 is C1-C2 alkyl or benzyl, X is chloride or bromide.
