Abstract
Abstract A novel high-strength dextranase preparation is formed by combining an impure liquid dextranase-containing mixture with clay to adsorb dextranase, separating the clay from the liquid mixture, removing the dextranase from the clay in a wash solution, combining the wash solution with an insoluble carbohydrate anionic exchange material having tertiary amine or quaternary ammonium active groups to reabsorb the dextranase, separating the anionic exchange material from the wash solution, and eluting dextranase from said material.
