Abstract AN INSTRUMENT WHEREIN THE DEFLECTION OF A FLUID JET, INDUCED FOR EXAMPLE BY THE ANGULAR MOVEMENT OF THE INSTRUMENT, PRODUCES A SIGNAL PROPORTIONAL TO THE DEFLECTION, AND PARTICULARLY SUCH AN INSTRUMENT THAT IS SUBSTANTIALLY SELF-CONTAINED TO PROVIDE A CLOSED FLUID CIRCUIT THAT IS RELATIVELY INSENSITIVE TO TRANSIENT TEMPERATURE DIFFERENTIALS AND IN WHICH THE OVERALL DIMENSIONS OF THE INSTRUMENT HAVE BEEN MINIMIZED.
