Abstract
Abstract An apparatus is provided for heating and treating molten metals under vacuum which includes a container for a charge of molten metal, a cover removably sealing said container, at least one rotatable heated stirrer journaled in said cover and extending into said container, means for rotating said stirrer and means for heating the stirrer.
