Abstract HIGH-PURITY POROUS URANIUM ARTICLES ARE PRODUCED BY PREPARING AN ADMIXTURE OF PARTICULATE CALCIUM OXIDE, MAGNESIUM METAL, AND URANIUM; PRESSING THE MIXTURE INTO A COMPACT; SINTERING THE COMPACT IN AN INERT ATMOSHPERE; AND THEREAFTER CONTACTING THE COMPACT WITH ACID SOLUTIONS FOR REMOVING THE CALCIUM OXIDE, MAGNESIUM, MAGNESIUM OXIDE, AND URANIUM OXIDE.
