Abstract
Abstract A sliding caliper-type disk brake embodying a torque member having a pair of spaced arms each of which takes the force from a respective one of the brake pads upon their engagement with the associated disk. The caliper is also slidably supported upon the torque member arms but takes substantially no force from the brake pads. Several embodiments of antirattle devices are provided for interposition between the torque member arms and the caliper for accommodating some movement of the caliper while precluding rattling thereof.
