Claim 1
Independent Claim
163 words
A device for orienting frustoconical articles, comprising: rising conveyor means including a pair of endless belts disposed alongside each other at an incline to the horizontal over a first part of their length and substantially horizontally over a second part of their length, and support means for said belt maintaining same parallel to each other from an entry point at the bottom of said first part to an exit point beyond said second part; feed means for supplying a succession of articles to be oriented to said conveyor means at said entry point, said articles having a major diameter larger than the spacing of said belts along their parallel path and a minor diameter smaller than said spacing whereby said article are entrainable by said belts engaging them in the vicinity of their major base; and a chute with a vibratile bottom sloping downwardly from said exit point for receiving said articles from said conveyor means upon release thereof by the spreading belts.

Claim 3
Dependent Claim
22 words
A device as defined in claim 1 wherein said support means comprises a pair of relatively inclined pulleys embraced by said belts.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim
15 words
A device as defined in claim 1 wherein said feed means comprises a vibratile trough.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim
43 words
A device as defined in claim 1 wherein said conveyor means is provided at said exit point with guide means for turning said articles into a position with substantially horizontal axis in which the articles rest on said bottom by their lower edges.
Claim 6
Independent Claim
133 words
A device for collecting and removing molded articles from an injection-molding machine having a split mold with horizontally separable portions, comprising: a vibratory trough positionable under the mold of such machine at an inclination to the horizontal for intercepting molded articles ejected from the mold and conveying them to one side of the machine, said trough being swingable into an inversely inclined position for selectively directing articles ejected from said mold toward the opposite side of the machine; rising conveyor means with an input near the lower end of said trough for receiving said articles therefrom, said conveyor means further having an elevated output toward which said articles are successively transported; and discharge means at said output forming an inclined chute for the further conveyance of said articles to a receiving station therefor.
Claim 7

Claim 8
Dependent Claim
23 words
A device as defined in claim 5 wherein said trough converges toward said lower end and terminates thereat in a laterally open elbow.
Claim 9
Independent Claim
227 words
A device for orienting frustoconical articles, comprising: rising conveyor means including a pair of endless belts disposed alongside each other at an incline to the horizontal over a first part of their length and substantially horizontally over a second part of their length, and support means for said belts maIntaining same parallel to each other from an entry point at the bottom of said first part to an exit point beyond said second part, said support means including a pair of parallel first pulleys at said entry point, a pair of parallel second pulleys at the junction of said parts and a pair of relatively inclined third pulleys at said exit point, each belt being wound about a first and a third pulley and having an upper run resting on a corresponding second pulley, said third pulleys diverging downwardly from each other; feed means for supplying a succession of articles to be oriented to said conveyor means at said entry point, said articles having a major diameter larger than the spacing of said belts along their parallel path and a minor diameter smaller than said spacing whereby said articles are entrainable by said belts engaging them in the vicinity of their major base; and a chute sloping downwardly from said exit point for receiving said articles from said conveyor means upon release thereof by the spreading belts.
