Abstract
Abstract A palladium chelate comprising palladium and a halide, alkanoate, or hydroxyl in a 4- or 5-membered ring with an aromatic biphyllic ligand. The chelate is an active catalyst in hydrocarboxylation reactions and demonstrates high selectivity for the production of straight-chain products.
