Abstract Synthetic polyamides, useful as binders in the formulation of printing inks, formed between a dimeric fatty acid, an unsubstituted lower aliphatic monocarboxylic acid, ethylene diamine, and certain aromatic, cycloaliphatic, and other aliphatic diamines, including aliphatic ether diamines; methods for preparing such polyamides.
