Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 11
Claim 1
Independent Claim 95 words
A bobbin for supporting a wire coil comprising a coilsupporting core having a flange carried on the end thereof, said flange having an ear portion extending outwardly therefrom, said ear portion having a plurality of apertures for securing a coil wire passed therethrough in a serpentine fashion to prevent tensile forces applied to said wire from being transmitted to the coil, wherein said plurality of apertures of said ear portion comprise a center slot bifurcating the ear portion, and an inwardly extending slot formed in each bifurcated ear portion directed transverse to said center slot.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 95 words
A bobbin for supporting a wire coil comprising a coilsupporting core having a flange carried on the end thereof, said flange having an ear portion extending outwardly therefrom, said ear portion having a plurality of apertures for securing a coil wire passed therethrough in a serpentine fashion to prevent tensile forces applied to said wire from being transmitted to the coil, wherein said plurality of apertures of said ear portion comprise a center slot bifurcating the ear portion, and an inwardly extending slot formed in each bifurcated ear portion directed transverse to said center slot.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 47 words
The apparatus of claim 1 including a coil of wire supported on said core and having each of oppositely extending ends thereof passing through said plurality of apertures on one of said ear portions in a serpentine fashion to prevent transmittal of tensile forces to said coil.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 58 words
The apparatus of claim 1 including a coil of wire supported on said core and having one end thereof passing through an inwardly extending slot over a bifurcated ear portion, through said center slot, over the opposite bifurcated ear portion and through the opposite inwardly extending slot securing the coil end from transmitting tensile forces to the coil.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 28 words
The apparatus of claim 3 wherein the wire-engaging portion of said inwardly extending slots terminates in a recess portion having a width greater than the slot channel width.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 30 words
A bobbin as in claim 1 wherein said flange is formed in the shape of a shield, and said ear portion extends outwardly from the flat edge of the shield.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 105 words
In a bobbin for supporting a wire coil having a coil-supporting core with a flange carried on the end thereof and a strain-relieving means carried by said flange for preventing tensile forces applied to the wire from being transmitted to the coil, the improvement wherein said strain-relieving means comprises a center slot defined in said flange extending inwardly toward said coil-supporting core, and a pair of slots formed in said flange each extending parallel to said coil-supporting core and directed inwardly toward said center slot for securing a coil wire passed therethrough preventing tensile forces applied to the wire from being transmitted to the coil.
Claim 8
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 42 words
The apparatus of claim 6 wherein the pair of slots formed in said flange each extending parallel to said coil-supporting core and directed inwardly toward said center slot terminate in a recess portion having a width greater than the slot channel width.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim 21 words
A bobbin as in claim 6 formed of a plastic material wherein said core is elongated and said flanges are circular.
Claim 11
Dependent Claim 17 words
The apparatus of claim 6 wherein a flange is carried by each end of said coil-supporting core.
