Abstract An electrophoretic system for concentrating and separating charged particles and for improving the resolution of the separated particle laminae that utilizes a buffer composition which will provide a ratio of leading-trailing ion boundary to the fastest particle mobility that approaches unity, during the period of free electrophoresis.
