Abstract
Abstract An improved heavy-duty wipe made of nonwoven materials, and a method of producing the same. The wipe includes a central layer of multi-ply cellulosic tissue, a web or sheet of open mesh nonwoven crossed threads on each side of the central layer, and a thin applique of fine fibrous material bonded to the outer surface of each crossed-thread web. The central layer of multiply cellulosic tissue is bonded to both the warp threads and fill threads on the warp thread side of each of the two webs of nonwoven material, and the fibrous appliques are bonded to the fill thread sides of each web.
