Abstract
Abstract Metal to metal bonding using a heat-sensitive adhesive is effected by application of ultrasonic energy to a metal-adhesivemetal assembly. The metals bonded may be, for example, sheets, strips, or the ends of a can blank, thus producing a side-seam.
