Abstract

Abstract Novel photosensitive elements and compositions are described. The compositions contain (a) a colorless oxidizable nitrogencontaining organic color generator and (b) a photooxidant containing a heterocyclic nitrogen atom which is substituted by an alkoxy or an acyloxy group. When the photooxidant is exposed to actinic radiation, it causes the oxidation of the color generator to a colored material.
