Abstract Processing high-contrast photographic elements, said elements comprising a silver halide emulsion layer in which the halide comprises at least about 50 mole percent chloride, in a continuous transport processing machine wherein the developer solution contains a carbonyl bisulfite-amine condensation product and said element contains a cadmium salt such as cadmium chloride.
