Abstract

Abstract Heterogeneous compositions useful in electrophotography are formed from an electrically insulating polymeric material and pyrylium selenapyrylium or thiapyrylium dye salts having an inorganic anion the anionic radius of which is at least as large as the radius of hexafluorophosphate. The use of these dye salts results in extended stability of the coating dopes which stability facilitates coating procedures and results in more uniform coatings.
