Abstract
Abstract A fastening means and method for securing together two sheets of metallic material with one sheet positioned over the other by having a region encompassed by a plurality of disconnected lines defining the edges of the region, the region of the sheets and its edges being displaced with respect to the portion of the sheets surrounding the region and joined by one or more connecting strips. The portion of the sheets surrounding the region has an extruded edge corresponding to each edge of the regions extending from the bottom surface portion surrounding the region over and beyond a corresponding displaced edge for securing together the sheets of material.
