Abstract A SLIDE FRAME HAVING AT LEAST ONE EXPANSIBLE INSERTION SLIT IS GRIPPED AT ITS EDGE PORTION THAT IS ADJACENT TO THE INSERTION SLIT AND AT LEAST ONE OTHER PORTION. AT LEAST ONE PORTION OF THE FRAME IS SIMULTANEOUSLY OR SUBSEQUENTLY SUBJECTED TO A DEFORMATION BY WHICH THE FRAME PORTIONS DEFINING THE INSERTION SLIT ARE SPACED APART SO THAT THE INSERTION SLIT IS EXPANDED.
