Abstract A SAFETY LOCKING RING FOR A STORE HAVING A REENTRANT LIP ON ONE OF ITS ENDS TO WHICH IS HELD A DETACHABLE INSERT CAP HAVING A PLURALITY OF SPACED, RESILIENT, MOVABLE ARMS THE RING HAS A PLURALITY OF FINGERS WHICH EXTEND INTO THE SPACES BETWEEN THE CAP ARMS TO ENGAGE THE ARMS AND PREVENT THEIR INWARD MOVEMENT AND DETACHMENT OF THE FROM THE STORE WHEN THE RING IS IN A FIRST POSITION.
