Abstract
Abstract The output signal of a variable frequency sine wave generator is superimposed on a DC level to generate a unipolar signal with sinusoidally varying amplitude. This signal drives a voltage-tofrequency converter which generates a train of pulses of constant amplitude and width, and has a repetition rate proportional to the instantaneous amplitude of the sine wave signal. The output signal of the voltage-to-frequency converter is fed to the input terminals of a count rate circuit under test. The accuracy with which the output signal of the count rate circuit reproduces the original sine wave signal is a measure of the frequency response of the count rate circuit.
