Abstract
Abstract A method of constructing in a subterranean well a prestressed conduit for conveying heated fluids wherein there is positioned in the well bore two concentric tubing strings having support elements in the annular space therebetween. The annular space is sealed at one end by attaching the tubing strings together. The inner tubing is then elongated and the annulus sealed at the other end thereof.

Claim 1
Independent Claim
129 words
A process for constructing conduits for conveying heated fluids comprising: a. positioning in a subterranean cased well dual concentric tubing strings comprising an inner fluid conductor tubing and a surrounding larger diameter intermediate tubing, having from 1 to 3 supports per 30 feet of length between these strings, and a centralizer device on the larger string at each joint thereof, b. fixedly and sealably attaching the fluid conductor tubing to the intermediate tubing at the lower end thereof, c. elongating the fluid conductor tubing member of said dual concentric tubing string, d. fixedly attaching said two tubing members to each other at their upper ends while said fluid conductor tubing member is elongated, and e. loading the annular space between the intermediate tubing and the casing with a gas.

Claim 3
Dependent Claim
16 words
The process of claim 1 wherein the elongation is accomplished by heating the fluid conductor tubing.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim
22 words
The process of claim 1 wherein said elongation is achieved by mechanically pulling on the upper end of said fluid conductor tubing.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim
