Abstract
Abstract Novel furylacryloylglycyl-L-leucine amide (FAGLA) type compounds. A spectrophotometric assay, based upon hydrolysis of these compounds by neutral protease, is also provided. Compounds have the formula I: wherein: X is oxygen or sulfur, R is hydrogen or lower-alkyl, and R'' is lower-alkyl or phenyllower-alkyl. FAGLA is the preferred compound.
