Abstract
Abstract This disclosure relates to the process of preparing a watersoluble effervescent denture soak tablet free of capping or picking tendencies, which comprises the thorough blending of the water-soluble ingredients including a carbonate, organic acid and at least one oxidizing agent, the terminal addition and blending of a water-soluble detergent to the above formulation, subjecting the homogenous mixture to normal pressures in a tableting device, yielding tablets with clean surfaces and sharp edges. The terminal addition of the water-soluble detergent to the formulation lubricates the dies and permits easy and clean ejection of the tablet.
