Abstract THIS INVENTION DESCRIBES A NEW AGITATOR MECHANICAL SEAL CARTRIDGE ASSEMBLY WHICH MAY BE RAPIDLY REMOVED FOR MAINTENANCE AND REPLACED BY A SPARE OR BY ITSELF, AFTER REPAIR, WITHOUT ESSENTIALLY DISTURBING THE REMAINING AGITATOR COMPONENTS, SUCH AS DRIVES (MOTORS) OR GEAR REDUCERS) SHAFT AND IMPELLERS. THIS ASSEMBLY, WHILE DESIGNED FOR AGITATORS, MAY BE EMPLOYED WITH PUMPS OR OTHER MACHINERY USING ROTATING SHAFTS WHERE A SEAL IS REQUIRED.
