Claims Analysis
Total Claims: 6
Claim 1
Independent Claim
98 words
A golf bag support comprising: a rigid vertical member, means associated with said vertical member for anchoring said vertical member in the ground, means hinged to said vertical member for removably associating the top of said golf bag with said vertical support, and yieldable tension means extending angularly across said hinge and between said vertical member and said golf bag associating member, whereby golf bags can be supported by said vertical support by anchoring said vertical support with said anchoring in the ground, and said tension means absorbs shocks growing out of moving forces applied to the bag.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim
Claim 3
Dependent Claim
63 words
A golf bag support as defined in claim 1, wherein said vertical support is hollow and said anchoring means includes a pointed member that is movably mounted on the inside thereof, and means for actuating said pointed means into the ground from the outside of said vertical support, whereby said pointed means can be urged into the ground to support a golf bag.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim
31 words
A golf bag support as defined in claim 2, wherein a spring means is attached to said pointed member to selectively retract the same from the ground when this is desired.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim
47 words
A golf bag support, as defined in claim 3, wherein said vertical support has a means for selectively retaining said pointed member in a position where it remains stuck in the ground, whereby golf bag support can be removed from the ground by releasing said retaining means.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim
52 words
A golf bag support, as defined in claim 4, wherein said retaining means is a cam that is pivotAlly mounted to said vertical support whereby the retaining means retains the top of the pointed member in one position and allows the pointed member to be retracted from the ground in another position.
