Abstract
Abstract A subterranean formation is fractured by injecting under fracturing pressures a micellar dispersion comprised of hydrocarbon, aqueous medium, and surfactant. Propping agents are useful in the dispersion. Also, the viscosity of the dispersion is designed to obtain ''''low penetrating fluids.
