Abstract
Abstract A gas ionization display device is provided which comprises a woven wire mesh having noncontacting intersecting wires in hermetically sealed dielectric panels. An inert ionizable gas is encapsulated between the hermetically sealed panels. The device is made by sandwiching the woven wire mesh between two glass panels, with the wires extending beyond the edges of the panels, and sealing the panels, in an atmosphere of an ionizing gas, e.g. neon or argon.
