Abstract
Abstract This disclosure relates to a silicon carbide device in which electrodes affixed to a wafer of silicon carbide are gold plated. As a result of the gold plating of the electrodes, the device need not be hermetically sealed. In addition, the gold plating operation provides a method of testing the device for leakage current.
