Abstract A PROCESS IS DESCRIBED FOR THE POLYMERIZATION OF MONOVINYLAROMATIC MONOMERS, WITH OR WITHOUT CONJUGATED DIENE CO-MONOMERS, USING A MIXTURE OF A TRANSITION METAL CARBONYL COMPOUND AND A METAL HALIDE SUCH AS TITANIUM CHLORIDES AS THE CATALYST. CERTAIN NOVEL RANDOM COPOLYMERS ARE ALSO DESCRIBED, RESULTING FROM THIS PROCESS.
