Abstract THE METHOD COMPRISES INCORPORATING SILICA INTO THE CATALYST AFTER THE CATALYST HAS BEEN FORMED INTO DESIRED SHAPES TO FORM A SILICA-IMPREGNATED CATALYST, DRYING AND CALCINING IN AIR THE SILICA-IMPREGNATED CATALYST. THE SILICA IS IMPREGNATED THEREIN TO PROVIDE AN AMOUNT BETWEEN ABOUT 1 WEIGHT PERCENT AND ABOUT 20 WEIGHT PERCENT, BASED UPON THE WEIGHT OF THE CATALYST.
