Abstract A CRYSTALLINE ZEOLITE HAVING THE MORDENITE CRYSTAL STRUCTURE IS TREATED WITH AN AQUEOUS MINERAL ACID SOLUTION TO INCREASE THE MOLAR SIO2/AL2O3 RATIO AND THE APPARENT PORE DIAMETER WHILE RETAINING THE CHARACTERISTIC CRYSTAL STUCTURE OF THE STARTING MATERIAL. THE PRODUCT IS REFERRED TO AS "CRYSTALLINE MM."
