Abstract
Abstract A composite electric contact element is disclosed comprising a contact material formed of an alloy of silver-cadmium oxide, the element having a contact face and an opposite face composed of a silver layer with cadmium oxide particles distributed in between, such that the concentration of cadmium oxide particles increases from a minimum at the contact face to a maximum towards the face with the silver layer.
