Abstract
Abstract A CELLULOSE FIBER MATERIAL HAVING IMPROVED THERMAL STABILTIY. THE CELLULOSE FIBER MATERIAL IS TREATED WITH THE COMBINATION OF MELAMINE AND A COMPOUND SELECTED FROM THE GROUP CONSISTING OF DIGLYCOLAMINE, PIPERAZINE, AND DIMETHYL FORMAMIDE. TREATMENT WITH THIS COMBINATION OF INGREDIENTS ENABLES THE CELLULOSE FIBERS TO WITHSTAND DETERIORATION BY THE ACTION OF HEAT OVER EXTENDED PERIODS OF TIME. THE CELLULOSE FIBER MATERIAL HAVING IMPROVED THERMAL STABILITY IS USEFUL AS AN INSULATOR IN ELECTRICAL APPARATUS.
