Abstract A DIRECT POSITIVE BLEACH-OUT PHOTOGRAPHIC SYSTEM SUITABLE FOR PHOTOGRAPHY AND PHOTOCOPY WORK. A PHOLYMETHINE DYE AND A COLORED ACTIVATOR, SUPPORTED IN A BINDER, FORM THE PHOTOSENSITIVE SYSTEM. MOST OF THE COMBINATIONS ARE BLEACHED OUT WHEN EXPOSED TO VISIBLE LIGHT. A FEW ARE SENSITIVE TO ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT AND TO X-RAYS. THE SYSTEM IS ADAPTED FORMING PRINTS AND TRANSPARENCIES IN BLACK AND WHITE, MONOCHROME AND FULL COLOR.
