Abstract
Abstract A method for forming split fiber webs from oriented plastic films comprising penetrating the oriented film on a group of sharp implements and, while penetrated, applying a plurality of forces in various directions to the film at least some of these forces being in the plane of the film whereby the film is fibrillated to form a web of interconnected fibers.
