Abstract LIQUID POLYTERPENES HAVING MOLECULAR WEIGHT OF FROM 272 TO 544 ARE APPLIED TO GROWING PLANTS, PARTICULARLY NURSERY STOCK AND FOOD CROPS, TO PROVIDE THE PLANTS WITH A PROTECTIVE COATING. THE POLYTERPENE COATING INHIBITS THE TRANSPIRATION OF WATER FROM THE PLANTS, ENHANCES PLANT GROWTH, AND EXTENTS THE LIFE OF PLANT NUTRIENTS AND PESTICIDES APPLIED IN COMBINATION WITH THE POLYTERPENES.
