Abstract A THERMALLY STABILIZED POLYACETAL COMPOSITION CHARACTERIZED IN THAT SAID COMPOSITION CONTAINING A POLYAMIDE ESTER OBTAINED BY COPOLYMERIZING AT LEAST ONE LACTAM WITH AT LEAST ONE LACTONE, SAID LACTAM AND LACTONE HAVING 4 OR MORE MEMBERED RINGS, IN THE PRESENCE OF ALKALI METALS, ALKALI METAL DERIVATIVES, METALLIC MAGNESIUM OR DERIVATIVES THEREOF, AS A CATALYST.
