Abstract

Abstract A gas furnace capable of maintaining a constant pressure differential across a burner unit irrespective of changes in the flow of air through the furnace by the use of a controlled bypass damper adjacent the burner unit. Additional features includes controlling the volume of air at the discharge end of the furnace, thus, affording improved fan efficiency, a capability to circulate air through the furnace without heating when no heat is required, and a circuit designed to protect the furnace from air circulation when the incoming air is below a predetermined temperature.
