Abstract ORGANIC MATERIALS CAN BE STABILIZED WITH A COMPOUND HAVING THE FORMULA (3,5-DI((CH3-)3-C-),4-HO-PHENYL)-CH2-S-(CH2)N-CH(-O-R1)- CH2-O-R2 N IS A POSITIVE INTEGER RANGING FROM 1 TO 4; AND R1 AND R2 MAY BE THE SAME OR DIFFERENT AND EACH IS SELECTED FROM THE GROUP CONSISTING OF H, AN ALKYL RADICAL HAVING FROM 1 TO 22 CARBON ATOMS, AND -CO-R3 WHEREIN R3 IS AN ALKYL RADICAL HAVING FROM 1 TO 22 CARBON ATOMS SUCH AS 3,5-DI-T-BUTYL-4-HYDROXYBENZLTHIO-2,3-PROPANEDIOL.
