Abstract TUNGSTEN MONOCARBIDE IS SYNTHESIZED BY ELECTROLYSIS FROM A MOLTEN BATH OF ALKALI METAL TUNGSTATE. ALKALI METAL HALIDE, ALKALI HYDROXIDE AND A COMPOUND OF BORON IN THE FORM OF B2O3, ALKALI METABORATE (M2B2O4) OR ALKALI TETRABORATE (M2B4O7). THE CELL ANODE IS THE CARBON SOURCE.
