Abstract A METHOD OF PRODUCING GENERALLY SPHERICAL FIBROUS AGGREGATES FROM A SUSPENSION OF FIBRES IN A LIQUID, IN WHICH THE FIBRES ARE CAUSED TO ROTATE ABOUT THEMSELVES AND IN CIRCULATION TO ENGENDER SPEED GRADIENTS THEREIN, AND IN ADDITION PULSATORY MOVEMENT IS APPLIED TO THE SUSPENSION TO ENGENDER AN EBB AND FLOW THEREIN. THE APPARATUS INCLUDES AN OUTER CONTAINER WITH AT LEAST ONE ROTOR LOCATED THEREWITHIN AND MOUNTED FOR ECCENTRIC ROTATION TO PRODUCE THE EBB AND FLOW THEREIN.
