Abstract USE OF DIPOLAR APROTIC SUBSTANCES TO INCREASE PHOTOSENSITIVITY OF AQUEOUS POLYVINYL ALCOHOL BICHROMATE LACQUERS. EXAMPLES OF THE APROTIC SUBSTANCES ARE ETHYLENE CARBONATE AND DIMETHYL ACETAMIDE. THE LACQUERS ARE PARTICULARLY USEFUL IN THE ATTACHMENT OF COLORED PHOSPHORS TO CATHODE-RAY TUBES FOR COLOR TELEVISION SETS.
