Abstract
Abstract A SYNTHETIC APERTURE ANALYSIS RADAR SYSTEM IN WHICH THE TRANSMITTED AND RECEIVED SIGNALS ARE NOISE SIGNALS. THE RETURN SIGNAL IS ADDED TO A REFERENCE SIGNAL DERIVED FORM THE TRANSMITTED SIGNAL. UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS THE POWER SPECTRUM OF THE SUM SIGNAL IS MODULATED. SYNTHETIC APERTURE PROCESSING CAN THEN BE PERFORMED SINCE THE POWER SPECTRUM IS ESSENTIALLY COHERENT.
