PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITIONS CONTAINING THESE COMPOUNDS AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING AN ANTITUSSIVE EFFECT IN MAMMALS COMPRISING ADMINISTERING SUCH COMPOUNDS ARE PROVIDED. AN ILLUSTRATIVE EMBODIMENT IS 1-(3-PHENYLPROPYL)-4-ALLYL-ISONIPECOTIC ACID MORPHOLIDE.
